Certified Medical Assistant

Excellent verbal, spelling, and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively with staff and be part of a team

Ability to work independently and with limited supervision

Must be computer literate. EMR experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-
Manage therapy referrals and authorizations
-
Manage medical records, both incoming and outgoing
-
Rooming and performing vitals on patients
-
Knowledge of administrating pediatric injections
-
Medical terminology and pharmacologic terminology
-
Ability to perform point of care testing (rapid strep, flu, pregnancy, mono, UA)
-
Answering incoming patient phone calls for appointment triaging
-
Arrange for patient testing and referrals
-
Prepare examination rooms, including restocking of supplies in treatment areas.

Attendance and punctuality a must
Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
1 Year plus as a Medical Assistant
-
Demonstrated ability to communicate with coworkers and patients in an effective manner.
-
Demonstrated ability to use a computer and enter data in a medical management application
-
Bilingual a plus
-
Local candidate a plus
